Thank you for your support: a recap of last week.

Last week, September 22nd to the 27th, was an incredible week for us here at Pratt Homes. Every week in Barrie, ON is a good week however last week was just exceptional.

Starting on Monday in Ottawa at the Ontario Home Builder’s Awards, our community Yonge Station won an award for the Best New Homes Sales Office Under 1500 sq. ft.  As the category nominees were being announced, you could feel everyone at our table just tense right up. The competition was stiff and we clearly wanted to win. Here’s a video of the award announcement.  When they announced our name, we erupted in cheers. Here’s a picture of us accepting the award on stage.

The following Wednesday, our good friend and world renowned artist Ron Baird, creator of the Spirit Catcher and the art installations at Yonge Station, worked with our construction team to install the third piece of art, Wheelie. He’s a 25ft tall, 3500lbs outstanding sculpture of awesomeness. Just wait until the weather brings some good wind to help Wheelie’s 10 movable pieces dance for the members of the community. Here’s CTV News Barrie’s clip and the Barrie Advance’s article about the art installation.

Then, Thursday night. The Pratt family was honoured with the 2014 Legacy Award at the MacLaren Art Centre’s Legacy Dinner. “The family’s contributions to Barrie are many and go far beyond the thousands of quality homes the Pratts have built over the years in the city and surrounding areas”, said Sue-Ellen Boyes, of the MacLaren. Here’s an article from the Barrie examiner. The Pratt family was very humbled and honoured to receive the award. The Pratt family truly loves our beautiful city of Barrie and does whatever they can to support when and where it is needed.

Just when you thought “there couldn’t possibly be more, there is. On Saturday, we release the final phase of construction for Yonge Station. People rushed in to our sales centre to check out the new floor plans and prices for The Grand Central, our 72 unit condo building that runs parallel to Yonge Street. It was such a gorgeous day and the new home-owners were loving everything about it. We had a BBQ going with delicious burgers…I think they may have actually been the highlight of everyones day. Here’s a picture of a few kids of a new home-owner playing soccer by the Spirt Clock.

So all in all, it was an outstanding week for Pratt Homes and we felt we like sharing our experience with you. Most importantly, we want to thank everyone who has been supporting us, by working for us and with us, for purchasing our homes and living in our communities, for voting for us for awards, interacting with our social media posts, visiting our website and doing everything you do to show your love for us. It means the world to us; you mean the world to us. We couldn’t do what we do without you. Thank you.

Todd Palmer.
