This month’s edition of Our Homes profiles a young couple and their decision to move to Barrie to purchase their first home – a Pratt Southwoods townhome. The Summer 2012 edition of Our Homes is available now.
After renting a two-bedroom condo in Richmond Hill that had just less than 1,000 sq. ft. of living space, Greg and Jaime Stewart decided it was time to consider moving to Barrie and buying their first home. They have noted many positives to living in Barrie and working with the great sales and design staff at Pratt Homes.
“We just decided it was time to buy,” explains Greg in an article published in the Summer 2012 edition of Our Homes. “We also looked in Alliston, but once we met with staff at Pratt Homes, we made our decision. It’s great value compared to what we could get in the GTA.”
His wife Jaime is happy to be leaving the hustle and bustle behind; “everybody just seems so crammed together in the GTA. All of the amenities are going to be a lot closer and easier to get to in Barrie.”

“We just decided it was time to buy,” explains Greg in an article published in the Summer 2012 edition of Our Homes.
The Stewarts purchased a new Pratt home in the recently launched Southwoods townhome and condo development. Southwoods properties feature two levels, three or four-bedrooms, a separate garage and basement walkout to the backyard. The development is across the street from environmentally protected parkland, and also features a playground/park and private streets that will be plowed before municipal roadways.
Brownstones and townhomes start at $225,000 with condominiums priced from $205,000. More information can be found at www.pratthomes.ca.
