Ron Baird, RCA., OCAD, has been regularly commissioned to create large-scale, site-specific sculpture installations across Canada and abroad. Many of them move in the wind, are interactive, light responsive or make musical sounds. These include fountains, murals, sculptural landmarks for world fairs, art galleries, parks, and gardens.

A winner of numerous awards and medals including Allied Arts Awards from both the Royal Architectural Society of Canada and the Ontario Society of Architects for his work. Ron has been appointed to the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts and is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design. He was the founding director of the Latcham Public Art Gallery and has taught at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design. Baird has presented and conducted workshops at International Sculpture Conferences. Recently, he overwintered in Ireland where he was appointed to the post of resident master-printmaker at the prestigious Cló Ceardlann na Gcnoc studio.

Pratt Homes is proud to announce a partnership with the legendary Ron Baird. He will be creating public art installations that will be featured throughout our Yonge Station Development. The installations include the Spirit Clock which rests at the corner of Yonge Street and Madelaine Drive, a large kinetic sculpture which will sit in the courtyard inside the community, a main entrance sign, as well as several smaller complimentary pieces. The view sculptures and renderings of the art installations visit our sales office at 39 Madelaine Drive, at the cornet of Yonge Street and Madelaine Drive.
